I built this because I wanted a simple Bitcoin leaderboard. Companies with verified treasuries. On-chain proof of reserves. That's it.

Problem is, getting big companies to verify their addresses is hard. Like, really hard. They don't just share their xpubs with some random guy.

In the meantime, I added imports from BitcoinTreasuries (SEC filings, public reports) and Arkham Intel (on-chain data). Now every company has some proof of reserves, even without an xpub.

So while waiting still waiting, I started playing with the design.

First came the animal rankings 🦐 🦀 🐙 🐠 🐬 🦈 🐳 🐋 🐉.
You know, the bitcoin memes. Made it more fun.

The Reddit pivot

I built a world map for fun. An interactive map showing where Bitcoin companies are located, with animal tier markers on each country. Just a side feature I thought was cool.

Then I posted it on r/Bitcoin. It hit #3 of the day. 125K views. 314 upvotes. 41 comments. People loved it.

So I went all in on the map. Made it the homepage. Added pinch-to-zoom, country detail sheets, global BTC flows. And then something unexpected happened: my kid started using it.

He points at countries and asks "Is that a 🐳 or a 🐬?" He wants to know why the US is so orange. He's learning geography, economics, and Bitcoin all at once.

That's how this project became... whatever it is now. I build in public thanks to Reddit's feedback.

The (family) business

I don't make money with this yet. If you like the project, a donation even small will help us a lot to pursue our passion of Bitcoin and whales!
The plan is G2/Glassdoor for Bitcoin: drive massive organic traffic through SEO, then let companies claim and upgrade their profiles.

Right now I'm focused on data consistency. Making sure every company is listed, every claim is sourced, every on-chain balance is as close to real-time as possible. The goal is to become the site people check every day.

So far the map is doing the heavy lifting:

People don't just glance. They explore. That's the foundation everything else gets built on.

The dream

Someday, I hope a big treasury actually gets verified on here.

Imagine: MicroStrategy, with their 700,000+ BTC, verified on-chain for the world to see. A real Sovereign in the Arena.

Until then, I'll keep building. Keep adding features. Keep making the site weirder and more fun.
